Unapologetic will have its Cuban premiere at the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Santiago Alvarez Film Festival. Santiago Álvarez was a leading voice in Cuban documentary filmmaking – one of the founders of ICAIC, the Cuban Film Institute. He is known for the hundreds of newsreels that engaged the Cuban population in news, culture, and politics after the Revolution. The 20th edition uplifts indie documentary filmmakers from the U.S.
